Nankunshen Daitian Temple

example, it took 12 years, from 1923 to 1937, to rebuild the main building "Five Lords Hall." After this major project, the compound basically retained its layout, as the succeeding projects focused on annexes surrounding the Five Lords Hall. Furthermore, the architecture of the whole area was designed to conform to Chinese Feng Shui.

Nankunshen Daitian Temple complex is about 30 hectares large. Hence, it is not only considered to be the biggest Wangye temple in Taiwan, but also it has more than 20,000 branch temples all over the world. Thus, it is also called the main Wangye temple and the headquarters for Wangye belief. After so many years, Nankunshen Daitian Temple has developed into a temple that not only features its religious aspects but also shines in culture and tourism.
